SERVICE CONTRACT TERMS & CONDITIONS
All Medical Equipment must be safe to use and above all accurate in the information provided. Staff have to be confident that this comes from a source that is maintained to the highest standards.
Return to Bench Service
Amazon Medical to provide all labour and materials that it deems necessary to maintain in good operating condition those hardware products covered under the contract.
Remedial Maintenance
To include the diagnosis and correction of product malfunctions and failures.
Safety and Performance Checks
To include inspection and test procedures which will determine whether electrical safety requirements are satisfied together with all necessary cleaning, adjusting, lubricating, inspecting and testing procedure..
Electrical Safety Testing: Testing by our engineering staff in accordance with MDA DB 2006(05), BSEN 60601-1 and manufacturers’ own guidelines.
Preventative Maintenance Inspections: A structured plan of pro-active rather than re-active, maintenance to address potential problems.
Portable Appliance Testing: Testing under the Electrical Safety at Work Regulations 1989 and Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
All of our work is performed in accordance with statutory, advisory and manufacturer’s recommendations using dedicated calibrated tools and test equipment.
Period of Coverage
Amazon Medical to provide service between 09.00 and 17.00 hrs Monday through Friday excluding Public Holidays. Service outside these hours will be charged at additional rates.
Response Time
If a Customer Engineer is not immediately available when Customer makes a service request, a Customer Engineer will return the telephone call within four working hours.
LIMITATIONS OF SERVICE
Contracts will only be offered on products approved by Amazon Medical.
Any product supplied by Amazon Medical, which has been modified by the Customer or any third party.
If the malfunction has been caused by a nonqualified device or engineer, Amazon Medical will charge Customer for additional expenses incurred.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer must provide :

Operating Procedures
Customers must follow routine operating procedures as specified in the User Manual supplied with the product.
Operating Supplies
Customer will provide operating supplies and consumables
1. A Contract of Service covers either of the following:
a) One Safety and Performance Assurance Test
Provides for one scheduled routine test in a twelve month period, but excludes components and any additional cost associated with breakdown call-outs.
3 year service plan available
b) Comprehensive Maintenance (Excluding Parts)
Provides for one scheduled routine test in a twelve month period, plus labour required for repairs. Parts used will be charged at list price less 10% discount.
c) Extended Warranty Contract (Including Parts)
Can be taken out within the initial 12 month warranty period or after a Safety & Performance Test. Provides for one scheduled routine test in a twelve month period, plus labour and all associated components.
2) Support contracts cover service to hardware only. Items external to the equipment, such as consumables, probes and sensors are not covered under the Terms of Contract.
3) Negligence, abuse or misuse of the equipment invalidates our Contracts.
5) Payments in full under the Contract must be made within 14 days of the invoice, in advance of commencement of work. The contract will not be considered effective until payment is received by Amazon Medical Limited.
